The Washington Council

The Washington Council for High School-College Relations operates for educational purposes, and is organized to assist all Washington state students to access and engage in post-secondary opportunities at its member institutions.

Join or Renew your Membership to Washington Council

Membership 


No separate fee is required to join as a high school member of the Washington Council for High School and College Relations.  All OSPI-recognized high schools in the state of Washington with grade nine (9) and above are eligible for membership.  Independent counselors who are members of NACAC or PNACAC are also invited to become members.  Membership renewal notices were mailed to current and potential members in July.  Washington colleges should review our Bylaws to determine if your institution is eligible for membership.

With a mission to provide comprehensive, easily accessible and timely information related to all aspects of college planning in the state of Washington, The Washington Council for High School-College Relations is an incredibly valuable resource for high school and career counselors, college admission and transfer counselors, state-wide policy makers, and students throughout the state. In addition, membership also provides the latest information on post-secondary options in Washington and includes the following:
  • An opportunity to apply for a bus subsidy to help defray transportation costs for the Spring College Planning Day
  • Personal interactions with admissions representatives and related state-wide agencies to insure your voice is heard
  • Support of other Washington Council activities and services including:
    • Fall Counselor Workshops
    • Fall College Fairs
    • Dual Credit Workshops
    • Spring College Planning Days
    • 8th grade College Exploration Days


In addition, college members enjoy these additional benefits:

  • Representation and/or participation in the Fall Counselor Workshops
  • Participation in WCHSCR Fall Transfer Fairs
  • Representation and/or participation in College Planning Days for high school students and 8th Grade College Exploration Days
  • Transfer Advisor Workshops

Members are encouraged to join our listserv.  Post your own question or take part in one of the many lively discussions about issues that matter most to our members.  Archived discussions can also be viewed.

Membership to the Washington Council website Members list is only for due paying members. Once you are a member, you will be invited to join the Washington Council Members Social Network. With your user name and password, you will be able interact with all Washington Council members via the social network area on our website. Your email address is never shared.
